I hope you had a great April so far. We're already in the second quarter of the year.
I wanted to bring up an important issue that some people may not be aware of. Reusing plastic bottles, particularly single-use ones like juice or water bottles, can be dangerous. Please be mindful of this and dispose of them properly.
Reusing single-use plastic bottles is detrimental to health!!
You might think reusing the single-use plastic bottle of water you bought or got at some event or workplace is eco-friendly because you are reusing it several more times, right? But this is not healthy for you.
Not only reusing but in the first place, drinking out of a single-use plastic bottle or any plastic bottle might not be a healthy option for you!
Why should you not reuse a plastic water bottle or even avoid drinking out of a plastic bottle?
π Plastic bottles, especially single-use ones, should not be reused as they can develop scratches and cracks that release microplastics.
π Plastic bottles can release microscopic particles into the water when exposed to heat or to sunlight.
π Shaking plastic bottles can cause the release of microplastics by physically breaking down the plastic material, and it can enter our bodies.
Some plastic bottles may contain BPA (bisphenol A) or phthalates, chemicals that can leach into the water when reusing the bottle. These chemicals cause many health problems, including hormonal imbalances, developmental problems in children and reproductive issues. The leaching of these toxins leads to Bioaccumulation.
Bioaccumulation is the gradual accumulation of tiny particles, such as a chemical or toxin, in the tissues of any organism over time, which can occur when an organism is exposed to such chemicals through the environment. Bioaccumulation is a concern because it can increase the concentration of toxins or chemicals in the food chain.
Introducing reusable bottles made from safer materials, such as glass, stainless steel, or earthen bottles, in the workplace or at your home is a crucial step in promoting a health-conscious culture while also addressing the issue of microplastics leaching into the water from single-use plastic bottles.
Reusable bottles can significantly reduce the amount of plastic waste generated and thus preventing microplastics entering into our food chain!

Episode #9 - Important things to know before you buy a yoga mat
When I started exercising around ten years ago, I just went out there and bought the cheapest mat available. Back then, it did not matter what material, the grip, etc. I just needed to buy some soft base to work out on. It would smell horrible and start to flake out within some time, but I never understood its awful repercussions. When you plan to buy a yoga mat, the most essential aspect is the material used to make it. Unknowingly through these mats, you will inhale unwanted toxic chemicals while exercising, which can slowly do more harm than good.
Only when I started an eco-friendly lifestyle did I realize how important it was to choose the suitable material for the yoga mat. I discuss the details you need to look for when choosing a suitable mat for a healthy workout that will not impact the environment.
TOWARDS THE END OF THE EPISODE, I SHARED MY FAVOURITE ECO-FRIENDLY OPTION FOR A YOGA MAT :)

Episode #11 - Packaged food - How to choose the healthy and eco-friendly options
In this episode, I highlight how you can make good choices when buying packaged food. It will bring awareness about the many toxic chemicals we unknowingly let into our bodies! The Food industry is fooling us into buying convenient, easy food by putting such labels on the show. In contrast, when you check the ingredient list, it is laden with toxic and carcinogenic chemicals! Did you know many of them are petroleum additives!! The information lies in the Ingredients list, which is behind the pack!!
By avoiding packaged food with so many harmful additives, I could completely cure myself of my health problems.
